trailblazer as he recorded his first Champions League appearance this season
with a first-half opener for The Gunners. Olivier Giroud followed suit by
rocketing a powerful header.
Schalke struggled to win with ease
at home, with Klaas-Jan Huntelaar showing class as he found the back of the net
before half time. Jefferson Farfan equalized on the 67th minute. Giroud and
Walcott sought to break the deadlock but the hosts blocked their efforts.
