defended White Hart Lane against Liverpool

Aaron Lennon was pivotal to the
Spurs’ first-half domination, scoring on the seventh minute after firing Gareth
Bale’s cross inside the goal. Bale himself found the net less than 20 minutes
into the game after a 25-yard effort that went beyond stunned keeper Pepe
Reina.
Bale’s luck ran out towards the
second half, as the Welshman carelessly let an own goal pass through
Liverpool’s woodwork. Attempts from Luis Suarez, Daniel Agger and Jose Enrique
failed to lead the visitors to win w1th ease, ending an eight-match unbeaten
run in the league.
