Yuki Kuniyoshi allowed one unearned run in seven innings to get his first career win, Kazuya Fujita hit a three-run homer and the Yokohama BayStars beat the Yomiuri Giants 4-1 on Tuesday night for their fourth victory in five games.
Kuniyoshi (1-3) struck out seven, scattered six hits and walked none and Shun Yamaguchi worked the ninth for his 30th save. Kentaro Nishimura (7-4) took the loss.
Fujita went deep over the right-center wall with runners on first and third for a 3-0 lead in the second at Tokyo Dome.
Hisayoshi Chono had an RBI single among his two hits for the Giants.
Yuta Naito added an RBI single in the eighth for insurance.

At Nagoya Dome, Kazuhiro Wada had a game-tying single with two outs in the sixth inning and Ryosuke Hirata followed with a two-run triple off Bryan Bullington (12-11) as Chunichi rallied past Hiroshima.
Yuichi Hisamoto (1-0) went two scoreless innings for his first win in four years. Hitoki Iwase earned his 35th save. The Carp have lost five of their last seven games, including two ties.

At Osaka's Kyocera Dome, Craig Brazell broke a 2-2 tie with a solo drive in the fourth inning and Hanshin chipped away to beat CL leader Tokyo Yakult.

Fighters 2, Eagles 0
At Sapporo Dome, Masaru Takeda (11-11) threw 6⅔ scoreless innings with no walks and Atsunori Inaba and Yang Dai-kang drove in a pair of runs as Hokkaido Nippon Ham slammed the door on Tohoku Rakuten.
Inaba had a run-scoring single with runners at the corners in the first and Yang added an RBI double off Takahiro Shiomi (7-9) in second.

At Chiba's QVC Marine Field, D.J. Houlton matched the league lead for wins with his 17th victory and PL batting leader Seiichi Uchikawa continued his hot hitting, going 3-for-4 with three RBIs as the newly crowned pennant winner routed Chiba Lotte.
Buffaloes 5, Lions 3
At Seibu Dome, Lee Seung Yeop hit a three-run homer in the second inning and Orix added two runs in the fifth as it went on to beat Hideaki Wakui (8-12) and send Seibu to its fourth loss in a row. - http://search.japantimes.co.jp
