Giants wield big sticks against rival Swallows

Yomiuri rookie Hirokazu Sawamura (8-11) threw one-run ball over 7⅓ solid innings, striking out four and walking one. Kyohei Muranaka (4-5) got tagged for four runs in 4⅔ innings of the loss at Tokyo Dome.
Fields put his team on the scoreboard with a two-run blast with two outs in the second and Abe added a solo drive in the fourth and a two-run shot in his next at-bat in the sixth. Takayuki Terauchi chipped in with a run-scoring double in the fifth.
Hiroyasu Tanaka had an RBI single for the Swallows' sole run in the third inning.
